Scientific seminar

As part of its annual cultural program, the Department of English at the College of Education for Women organized a scientific seminar titled "Teaching Human Values and Combating Extremist Ideology: Successful Experiences and Models." The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Mohammed Abdullah and Lecturer Iman Yassin Thabet.

The seminar highlighted the importance of teaching human values as one of the most effective tools in combating extremist ideology and promoting social cohesion. The spread of extremism is often attributed to the absence of tolerance, acceptance of others, and constructive dialogue. Therefore, the seminar emphasized the role of respect, coexistence, justice, and compassion as fundamental strategies in countering extremist thought.

Additionally, the seminar discussed tolerance, coexistence, and acceptance of others as key pillars in confronting fanaticism and rejecting extremist ideologies. The speakers also presented various methodologies and approaches that can contribute to instilling these values within communities.

The seminar witnessed a distinguished attendance from faculty members of the college and the department, enriching the discussions and fostering a meaningful exchange of ideas.
