The vision, mission and goals of the Arabic Language department
The Department was established in the academic year 1988–1989. The department aims to graduate female students well-versed in the sciences related to Arabic language and literature, and equipped with the knowledge necessary to qualify them to teach in secondary schools and teacher training institutes. The duration of study in the department to obtain a bachelor's degree is four academic years, after which the student is awarded a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature. The department also offers a Master's degree in Arabic Language and Literature. Vision Mission Goals To prepare highly skilled female teachers. To nurture a generation with strong moral character. To prepare students to be good mothers and successful educators. To develop students’ experience and advancement in the fields of language and literature. To engage students in scientific and cultural competitions and events to highlight the real role of women in Arab and Islamic society. The department also has future goals and ambitions that aim to improve the course of language education through regular workshops, seminars, and conferences.
The Department of Arabic Language believes in the importance of human development to advance students and promote civilizational and human values through the teaching of linguistic heritage. It sees the development of civilization and progress in various fields of life as stemming from the preparation of minds, cultivation of taste, and enhancement of efficiency and performance in state and community institutions. The effective use and application of the Arabic language in society and institutions is essential to building a cultural and practical foundation that enables advancement in teaching Arabic, preserving its identity, and promoting its status among other languages.
The department carries an educational and scientific mission that it seeks to deliver to society through its students. It adheres to the principles of our noble Islamic religion and works to enhance students’ linguistic knowledge in order to ensure the success of the department’s educational and academic mission.
