The department also strives to support the university's direction toward excellence locally and globally by adopting modern academic strategies and employing the latest technologies in language teaching to ensure effective learning and the success of creative approaches in teaching language and literature.
Moreover, the department seeks to prepare competent graduates who meet the needs of the community and support educational institutions with scientifically and professionally qualified teachers. Objectives of the English Department

1.    To primarily prepare academically qualified teachers to teach English at intermediate and secondary levels and contribute to community development.

2.    To enable graduates to master the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, along with communication abilities and linguistic concepts.

3.    To develop an educational staff specialized in the latest methods of English language teaching and learning strategies, and prepare students for postgraduate studies.

4.    To cultivate literary taste and aesthetic awareness through the study of various genres of English literature, along with linguistics and translation.

5.    To encourage faculty members to engage in scientific research and participate in conferences to stay updated on academic advancements in language and literature.

6.    To enhance self-learning abilities and develop English language skills that support personal, educational, and cultural development.

7.    To graduate students with strong English proficiency and literary, research, and critical skills, qualifying them for teaching, analysis, and academic communication.
