As part of its annual cultural program, the Department of History at the College of Education for Women organized a scientific symposium titled:
"Raising Awareness Among Iraqi Families About the Dangers of Excessive Violence Against Children."
The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Nadia Mahmoud Farhan, who addressed the issue of domestic violence, emphasizing that it is not merely a "wrong behavior" but rather a serious societal phenomenon that affects the future of generations. She highlighted the importance of awareness and education for both parents and society, as well as the role of governmental and educational institutions in enacting laws to protect children from violence and promote positive educational methods.
