A workshop on the importance of afforestation in environmental changes.

As part of the activities of the College of Education for Women, and in collaboration with the Desert Studies Center, a workshop was held under the title "The Importance of Afforestation in Addressing Environmental Changes" at Al-Khansa Hall.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Abdul Majeed Ahmed Abdul, who discussed the vital role of afforestation in mitigating environmental changes and enhancing ecological balance. He highlighted the multiple benefits of trees, including:
Reducing climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide and helping lower global warming.
Combating desertification by stabilizing the soil and preventing erosion caused by natural factors.
Improving air quality by absorbing pollutants and producing clean oxygen.
Enhancing biodiversity by providing natural habitats for various organisms.
Promoting public health by creating green spaces that help reduce stress and improve quality of life.

The workshop witnessed a significant turnout of students and faculty members, featuring an interactive lecture supported by visual presentations, which enriched the understanding of afforestation's importance in environmental conservation and sustainable development.
