A public defense was held for the master's student Reem Hussein Khalaf Mohammed in the Department of History / College of Education for Women / University of Anbar, for her thesis entitled:
"Al-Maqrizi and His Historical Letters in His Book Rasa’il al-Maqrizi: A Study of His Methodology and Sources."
The examination committee consisted of:

The thesis addressed an important aspect of the works of the well-known Islamic historian Taqi al-Din al-Maqrizi, through an analytical study of the historical letters included in his book Rasa’il al-Maqrizi. The researcher highlighted al-Maqrizi’s methodology in composing these letters, the sources he relied upon, and the scientific and historical value these texts offer in understanding the Mamluk era.
Following an in-depth academic discussion by the committee members, the thesis was accepted with a grade of “Pass”
