As part of its annual cultural program, the Department of History at the College of Education for Women organized a scientific seminar entitled: “Education as a Tool for Change”, held in the department’s seminar hall. The session was delivered by:

The seminar highlighted the vital role that education plays in building both the individual and society, emphasizing that education is not merely a means of acquiring information, but a powerful force for societal transformation, contributing to:

Developing individual abilities and enhancing critical and analytical thinking.

Promoting core human and social values such as citizenship, tolerance, and responsibility.

Combating poverty and ignorance while raising public awareness.

Supporting innovation and scientific research as pathways to comprehensive development.

The seminar also addressed the challenges facing the education sector, particularly within the Iraqi context, stressing the need to develop curricula and empower teachers as the cornerstone of educational reform and meaningful change.
