College of Education for Women Holds a Scientific Seminar on the Intellectual Legacy of the Late Scholar, Professor Dr. Nuri Ja'far

Under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Education for Women, Professor Dr. Nasra Ahmaid Jadoua, the Department of History organized a scientific seminar titled: "An Unending Legacy: Radiant Stations in the Biography of Professor Dr. Nuri Ja'far." The seminar was presented by Professor Dr. Yusuf Sami Farhan on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the department's Seminar Hall.

The seminar reviewed the scientific and intellectual biography of Dr. Nuri Ja'far (1914–1991), one of the most prominent pioneers of education and psychology in Iraq. Dr. Ja'far earned his PhD in Educational Psychology from Ohio State University, where he studied under the renowned philosopher John Dewey. The session also covered his rich academic career across various Iraqi, Arab, and international universities, as well as his scientific contributions to the fields of education and neuropsychology.

Furthermore, the seminar highlighted his prolific scientific output; he enriched the Arabic library with dozens of publications characterized by their ability to simplify scientific concepts and link them to issues of creativity and talent. This is in addition to his pioneering role in gifted education and his active participation in international scientific conferences.
