Developmental workshop

As part of its developmental workshops program, the Geography Department at the College of Education for Women organized a developmental workshop titled:
"Strategies for Enhancing National Security in Facing Terrorist Threats."

The workshop was presented by:
Dr. Widad Hamad Makhlaf

The workshop addressed terrorist threats, which are among the most significant challenges to national security faced by many countries worldwide. Terrorism is not limited to direct military attacks but also extends to undermining social and political stability, threatening public safety, and harming the national economy.

The workshop also explored "Counterterrorism Strategies," emphasizing the importance of coordination among various security, legal, military, and economic entities, as well as international cooperation for exchanging information and experiences. These strategies aim to mitigate the impact of terrorism on national security and ensure the stability of society.

The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and students from the department and the college.
