The public defense of the Master's thesis by Rasha Dhahham Shreidah took place in the Department of Life Sciences, College of Education for Women, University of Anbar. Her thesis was entitled:
"The Impact of Tharthar and Habbaniyah Lakes on the Water Quality of the Euphrates River Using Phytoplankton as Bioindicators."
The discussion committee consisted of:

The thesis highlighted that phytoplankton serves as sensitive indicators of environmental changes, responding directly to alterations in water quality such as chemical pollution or physical changes. By employing phytoplankton, the study provided a precise understanding of the influence of the two lakes' waters on the Euphrates River's ecosystem.
