Scientific seminar
Within the framework of its annual cultural activities, the Department of Geography at the College of Education for Women held a scientific seminar entitled: "The Geographical Potential of Anbar Governorate and its Role in Sustainable Development."
The seminar, presented by Professor Dr. Mishal Mahmoud Fayyad and Professor Dr. Ismail Abbas Harat, addressed the concept of geographical potential as the natural and human resources and factors available in Anbar Governorate, which include location, terrain, soil, agriculture, water resources, and mineral wealth. The lecturers reviewed the possibility of exploiting these potentials to achieve sustainable development, which aims to meet the needs of the present without compromising the rights of future generations to meet their needs.
The seminar was attended by a prominent group of faculty members from the department, which enriched the discussions and added scientific depth
