 As part of its annual cultural program, the Department of Geography at the College of Education for Women held a scientific workshop entitled "Protecting Childhood from Terrorism."

The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Enas Mohammed and Asst. Lecturer Israa Saad, with the attendance of several faculty members from the college and department, enriching the discussion and deepening the exchange of ideas.

The workshop addressed the dangers facing children amid the rise of terrorism and emphasized the importance of raising societal awareness about the responsibility of protecting children from violence and extremism. It highlighted the vital roles of families, schools, and media and educational institutions in creating a safe environment that shields children from psychological or ideological exploitation.

The session concluded with a set of recommendations calling for the activation of educational and awareness programs focused on child protection and the promotion of human values and social peace.
