Scientific seminar

 As part of its annual cultural program, the Department of Biology at the College of Education for Women organized a scientific seminar entitled

“Seed Preservation Strategies”, with the participation of a group of the department’s faculty members, which added depth and richness to the discussions.

The seminar was presented by:

Asst. Lecturer Asmaa Abdul Ameer

The seminar addressed modern scientific methods for preserving plant seeds, highlighting the importance of precise control over environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, light, and oxygen, as well as selecting appropriate storage and treatment methods based on seed type and storage duration.

The speakers emphasized that regular inspection and proper handling of seeds are essential foundations for ensuring sustainable agricultural production and high-quality crops, thereby contributing to food security for future generations.
