Discussion session
The Department of Geography at the College of Education for Women organized a scholarly discussion panel dedicated to reviewing the research papers submitted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Buthaina Raheem Shawkat, a faculty member in the department, as part of the requirements for academic promotion from Assistant Professor to Professor.
The session was held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, with the presence of a distinguished group of academic figures, including:
Prof. Dr. Saad Abdulwahid Mahmoud – Member of the Central Promotions Committee at the University
Prof. Dr. Khalil Mohammed Saeed – Head of the Promotions Committee at the College
Prof. Dr. Nusrah Ahmeed Jadoo’ – Dean of the College of Education for Women
Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Hazem Ismail – Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs
A number of faculty members from the department and the college also participated in the panel, which featured in-depth academic discussions addressing the content of the submitted research. The session contributed to enriching the academic dialogue through the exchange of specialized scholarly insights, reflecting a strong commitment to upholding the standards of quality and academic rigor in the promotion process.
