Scientific Participation
As part of the scientific cooperation and exchange of expertise between the colleges of the University of Anbar, Professor Dr. Khalil Mohammed Saeed, a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language at our college, participated as a member of the examination committee for a master’s thesis held in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education for Human Sciences, in the Abi Al-Thana Al-Alusi Hall at the college’s deanship.
The thesis, submitted by the student Afnan Hameed Abdan, was entitled:
"The Grammatical and Morphological Influence of Al-Nihayah fi Sharh Al-Kifayah by Ibn Al-Khabbaz (d. 639 AH) on Irtishaf Al-Darb by Abu Hayyan (d. 745 AH)", and aimed to shed light on two prominent figures in the linguistic heritage, with a focus on examining the aspects of scholarly influence between them through grammatical and morphological perspectives.
The study recommended the importance of paying due attention to the works Al-Nihayah fi Sharh Al-Kifayah and Irtishaf Al-Darb for their rich scientific content, in addition to noting the existence of missing texts that could be the subject of future research.
At the conclusion of the defense, and after an in-depth academic discussion, the committee decided to accept the thesis
